iPhone App for tradeMONSTER: How to Trade Stocks in the App
Get ready to start trading stocks, options, and spreads in the Chaikin Power Tools iPhone app with an account at Trade Monster.

To begin trading with your TradeMonster account via Chaikin Power Tools, press the “Trade” button and sign in to your TradeMonster account.
New Order
Once you’ve logged in, you will be greeted by the “New Order” screen. From here, you can trade Equities, Option contracts, and Spreads.
To begin placing your order, enter a stock symbol. The current quote and Chaikin Power Gauge rating will automatically appear.
Press the “Buy/Sell” toggle to select what kind of trade you would like to make and enter the number of shares you would like to trade.
Order Details
If you would like to edit specific details of your trade, press the “Order Details” button. From here, you can change your Order Type, Time in Force, and activate the “All-or-None” fill method on the easy-to-read dial interface.
Options
If you are interested in trading options, enter a valid stock symbol on the New Order screen and press the “Options” button. Next, select the expiration, strike price, and put or call from the dials, or press “Select from Option Chain” to see all option quotes for a particular expiration date.
From here, select the option you would like to trade, or scroll by swiping up and down the screen to view more options.
Press the drop down symbol on the date at the top of the screen to select a date, or press the “next” arrow to move to the next available expiration date.
Spreads
You can create a spread order manually or by selecting from a list of common spread types. To select a spread type, press the “Select Spread” button from the New Order screen.
From here, specify Trade Type, Quantity, and Option Type at the top of the screen, and select your Spread Type from the menu.
Once a spread type has been selected, an order is created consisting of multiple legs. Here you are free to customize your spread as desired.
If you wish to create a custom spread from the beginning, instead of selecting spread type, simply press the “Add Leg” option on the New Order screen to begin customizing your spread.
When you have selected or manually created a multi-leg Spread order, the Bid, Ask, and Mark for the Spread are shown in the header of the Order Entry screen."
Confirm Order
When you are ready to complete your order, pres the “Place Order” button from the New Order screen. Confirm the details of your order on the Confirm Order screen, and press “Submit Order” when you are ready to make the trade.
You will receive a confirmation popup once your order has been successfully placed.
Order Book
To view records of your orders, press the “Orders” tab from the main trading screen at any time. Here you will see a list of all of your orders. Press on any order to receive more information about it.
Positions
Once an order is filled it becomes a “Position”. To view your positions at any time, press the “Positions” tab from the Trading screen. As with the Orders screen, press on any Position to see more detailed info about it.
Accounts
To view information about your Trade Monster accounts, press the “Account” tab from the Trading screen. This will list the details of your account and will allow you to log-out and switch Trade Monster accounts if you have multiple accounts.
