What does the "Potential" indicator in the Power Gauge mean?
Certain stocks with a Power Gauge rating of "Neutral" may also display an indication of "Positive Potential" and "Negative Potential". Here’s how it happens:
• The Power Gauge calculation combines 20 weighted factors to arrive at a 'raw' rating for a stock, ranging from Very Bearish to Very Bullish.
• However, if the stock is in a very strong positive price/volume trend, a "raw" Bearish or Very Bearish rating will be modified to Neutral, with a "Positive Potential" indicator.
• Conversely, if a stock is in a very negative price/volume trend, a "raw" Bullish or Very Bullish rating will be modified to "Neutral" with a "Negative Potential" indicator.
In these cases, assuming the underlying Power Gauge factors remain consistent, once trending activity for the stock decelerates, the underlying Bearish or Bullish rating should take effect.
How do I know the Chaikin Power Gauge works?
The Power Gauge model was independently back-tested and validated by stock screening expert Marc Gerstein, who spent twenty years at Value Line Investment Survey as assistant research director, was director of investment research at Reuters.com and has authored two books on stock screening. Gerstein is presently editor of the Forbes Low-Priced Stock Report. Gerstein’s back-tests on ten years of data validate the performance of the Chaikin Power Gauge Rating, and confirm that the Rating is successful at identifying stocks which outperform or underperform the market over the ensuing 3-6 months. Do I get a refund if I upgrade from an individual service or services to Power Suite?

What is the Chaikin Money Flow indicator?
The Chaikin Power Gauge Rating includes the acclaimed Chaikin Money Flow―another indicator you can use in conjunction with the Power Gauge Rating to buy or sell stocks profitably.
The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator is on the six-month stock charts on our iPhone app, Android app and Desktop widget. Look for the green/red oscillator just above the Chaikin Power Gauge ribbon just above the bottom of the chart.
On our Chaikin Power Gauge Reports, the CMF indicator is displayed over a one-year time frame in the Price/Volume Activity Rating section of each stock report.
The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) measures the flow of money in and out of a stock on a 20-day basis. It’s one of the most accurate displays of supply and demand for a stock, because it reflects the volume of trading relative to price action. A stock’s Money Flow should fluctuate from green to red and back again as its stock price rises and falls.
A stronger stock will generally have more green than red. Consider buying a stock when you see the indicator turn from red to green, or if it stays green during price declines. Consider selling a stock when you see the reverse happening.

How does the iPhone’s Command Center help me?
The Command Center is where you create a customized list called MyStocks; it’s the first screen you see when you open the Chaikin Power Tools iPhone app. From here, you can review important information about stocks on your watch list, such as each stock’s last price and change for the day, a Chaikin Power Gauge Rating represented by a green, red or yellow arc, News Sentiment, Twitter Activity and Alerts. How do Alerts help me stay informed?
Rather than sifting through massive amounts of information, the Command Center will alert you to important events such as Earnings Surprises, Estimate Revisions and significant News Stories, which may affect the value of stocks in your watch list. Alerts are color-coded: green for positive, red for negative. When the app is not in the foreground, the Alerts badge will indicate how many unread Alerts you have in your Command Center. From the app, how do I look at stocks by Industry Group?
You can improve the performance of your portfolio by focusing on the strongest stocks in the strongest groups. By sorting “Strongest,” you can immediately focus on Industries which have the greatest percentage of stocks with a Bullish Chaikin Power Gauge Rating.
From the Command Center, press "Industries" to bring up the "Industry Groups" screen. Press "Strongest" to see Industry Groups sorted with strongest at the top (“Strongest” is the default). Press "A-Z" to see an alphabetical listing of Industry Groups. Select an Industry Group and it will be loaded into your Command Center; the stocks will be sorted by their Chaikin Power Gauge Ratings to show strongest stocks at the top. Press "My Stocks" to return to your My Stocks list.
